St. Bernard Parish Fire Department:

St. Bernard Parish Fire Department serves a population of 66,000 and encompasses an area of 465 square miles. Bounded on the west by our large neighbor New Orleans, on the north by Lake Borne, on the east by the Gulf of Mexico, and on the south by the mighty Mississippi River. SBFD serves our public 24 hours a day with three shifts of firefighters from 10 fire stations located throughout St. Bernard Parish and includes 10 Engine Companies with 2 as Quints, 2 Rescue Squads, 1 Fire Prevention unit,  3 District Chiefs and 1 Deputy Chief with a total manpower of 108 plus firefighters.
